New Skin 3, the promo player. Add skin=”3″ to a playlist shortcode and it becomes something you can send out before release: no BUY button, a download on every track, and a feedback form under the player
Feedback asks for a favourite track, a rating and comments. Name, country, organisation and website are kept in the listener’s own browser, so a regular contact only types them once
Downloads stay locked until the form is sent, or you can leave them open and treat feedback as a request rather than a condition
Each playlist can carry a heading, a press release and a press kit file, shown under the form. The press kit always downloads; only the music is locked
Replies arrive under Promo feedback with CSV export, a summary on the dashboard, an optional email alert, and a delete-all behind a typed confirmation
Skin 3 is the only part of the plugin that stores personal data, and only once you use it. A privacy policy paragraph is suggested automatically
Skin 1 can now be set as narrow as 300px, and switches to the compact phone layout by itself at 460px and below
Smaller type and finer waveform bars throughout Skin 1
Fixed the compact layout being partly overridden by the full-size rules, so the waveform and controls on phones are the size they were meant to be
